Flying south over a desert land Low on gas finding nowhere to land By my side hangs a picture frame Of my wife burning in the flames I am crashing down, fire all around But i’m still alive Hear my plane blowing up on the ground Deafened up i can still hear a sound As i lie in the darkness i can hear a voice It’s calling, it’s calling, i hear it calling out my name You gave me the will to carry on In this struggle to survive You were keeping me alive And now I need your voice to guide me home Point the way just like an arrow Where it shows it shall be my road Travelling east through the mountains and the plains Where it snows, where it hails and where it rains Walking on through some foreign everglades Frozen winds cut through me like razor-blades If i die today they must know where my body lays I carve my name upon a stone In the darkness i can hear a voice It’s calling, it’s calling, I hear it calling out my name You gave me the will to carry on In this struggle to survive you were keeping me alive And now I need your voice to guide me home Point the way just like an arrow Where it shows it shall be my road What is to become of us ? And if i make it though today tomorrow we shall see

Another day, another night that fades away Another dream made up to keep me awake Another charm created to make me believe That my whole life is not so vain 'Can’t make my conscience clear When did it start to make me grieve I only know what I foresee in the meanders of my brain I got the whole world in my mind Everyone else is blind but all that I can do Is watch the fall of human race Please tell me why I deserve this misery I don’t know who can I tell Every part of my existence feels like hell Please cast the spell Future or past no one believes the things I guess A poor outcast surely insane more or less Nevertheless whatever I can do These cruel nightmares always come true Prisoner of my own fear At any time they can appear Sooner or later it will make me burn out in front of you I got the whole world in my mind Everyone else is blind but all that i can do Is watch the fall of human race Please tell me why I deserve this misery Late at night I cannot breathe And I pray for death to come soon and be my release

When 03:06
When the trees turn into dry sands Fate will fall down on our children’s lands We still can avoid the winds of sorrow To blow mankind away When the oceans are sacked and soiled Shame will arise from our memories’depths And life will drown into these poisoned waters Sealing our doom
5.
Miracles 04:07
When the night falls When despair rises within Hold on to the light What if we were wrong What if there was no hope I would still believe in miracles Fanning the last embers of will What if we were wrong Wat if there was no hope We would still believe in miracles We would believe in the power of will rewriting fate

Deep in those burning skies Shall I be told the truth or lies ?

Why don’t you break the rules for once Just take a deep breath and arise Above the limits through the fence You need to set free otherwise When you get old and out of race Despite the smile on your face A fire raging deep within Will burn you up under the skin Does it feel too late for your dreams ? And didn’t it feel so when you had them ten years ago ? Don’t let anyone sweep them away This is just delaying suicide Roaming along the living dead You’re spending more than all your life Thinking everything over twice Should I, could I, What if the sky falls on my head ? Is that the price ? The price for what, for going ahead And living qualms and guilt for dead ? Those who live don’ try to hide ‘cause there will be no second ride Does it feel too late for your dreams ? And didn’t it feel so when you had them ten years ago ? Don’t let anyone sweep them away This is just delaying suicide Roaming along the living dead

Leaves fall on the ground Weighing my footsteps down on my way through the hills I hear no sound But a strange beating nearly filling my mind The light of day is slightly darkening Clouds over a desperate wailing Rising up, running out, going down Listen to the voice inside you Ancient laments from a distant age A storm is coming our way The sky is spitting out the thunder It’s thumping on the ground And I can feel the rain My innocence is blown away It’s gone forever And I can feel the rage It’s running through my veins I’m walking from the shelter, opening the fence Leaving far behind those times of innocence Things will never be the same But you know you must find a way to go Down in your soul Dive in the deepest ocean that you’ve ever seen Open your door Look at your feelings like they’re not what they seem ... and as i stand here stricken by the lightening I feel the rage that’s running through my veins I’m walking from the shelter, opening the fence Leaving far behind those times of innocence Everything is different We must feel the moment When it’s time to go Just spread your wings and fly Our new life is starting Don’t you let it go oh no Now reach out to the sky With the wind still rising And though the journey’s long, I know we’re strong No matter how, we will go along

A better end 05:11
When dreams turns into nightmares When a sweet story ends with a tragedy a bitter taste of fate flavours every breath and you know deep inside that’s the way life goes But for every dusk there’s a dawn arising, a new day to seize And i do believe in a destiny that everyone can change There must be a better end Is there no destination to this journey We have walked as one, the meaning of our lives Though it’s hard to understand I guess we had to follow trails of different guiding stars burning through the night Yet the flames are still as strong Burning under the same sun They enlighten our souls as brightly as a star Shining out of the dark Is there any chance that we carry on one day Will our passion break through sense or surrender There must be a better end There must be several exists to this deadlock we will break one day Together or one by one Now it’s time to figure out The different ways to overcome every single hindrance With so little help around Yet the flames are still as strong Burning under the same sun They enlighten our souls as brightly as a star Shining out of the dark Never, we will never surrender the fight, no A part of us is at stake in it Never, we will never let the flame within us Go out until we pass away Yes for every dusk there’s a dawn arising, a new day to seize And i do believe in a destiny that together we’ll shape

about

AKIN Lyon, France

Formed back in 1998 in Lyon, AKIN signed up with Sacral Productions to release "Verse" (2001) and then "Forecast" (EP-2003). Both CD's were reviewed in the french metal press as being part of the top albums of the year of their release.

After a long off-peak period, AKIN got back to work in 2009 with a string quartet at its side and is now proud to present its second LP, "The way things end".
